Can you heal someone by touching them? My grandmother could. Way back, more than seventy years back, Nana would heal my bumps and scratches with a soft touch and a whisper. It always worked, which lead me to study Reiki many years later.
I don’t have a regular practice, but there once was a time when I gave free treatments to anyone who asked me for healing energy. No charge. Sharing healing energy was always helpful to everyone involved. I loved it.
I don’t know if Nana knew Reiki or how she learned to use healing touch that seems so similar to me. My Nana was an orphan. She only had formal education to the third grade level. In the forty years I shared her life, she never stooped reading, studying, learning, practicing.
Bottom Line: Reiki works. In my opinion, love, prayer and healing energy come from the same source, some mystical divine-to-human and human-to-human connection I cannot define or explain. Its like the feeling of being immersed in deep prayer.
Today several different forms of healing practices are available mainstream, such as Healing Touch and Therapeutic Touch.
