Healing Hands

The room is obscure with a candle gently burning in the corner. The temperature is comfortable and I breathe in a relaxing, herbal scent. Soft, meditative music is playing.
As I lay face down on the warm bed, I breathe deeply and slowly. I am already feeling relaxed before the hands begin their work.

Although I have some sensitive areas in my back and neck, she kneads my muscles until the twitching subsides. Back, neck, head, arms, hands…down the hips and legs to the feet. My tired, stressed out body feels like it’s being kneaded like bread dough, but it feels so good. I am enveloped in oils. Then come the hot rocks. Ahhh…
Massage helps me destress and helps me feel better mentally. It is healing in many ways.
I don’t treat myself to a massage often enough. My body thanks me for it. I need to do this more often.
