And lo, in the thirteenth day of the third month, a prophet came unto him and spoke on this wise: "Self, if this work thou doest distresseth thee mightily, speak unto thy God and ask guidance of Them. And likewise, having done so as thou most assuredly hast, then listen thou well to the answer."
And he threw a sock at the prophet and replied "Self, thou mayest dress in all the towels that I have washed, and yet no more a prophet are thou than I."
And the prophet sayeth unto him" "Self, be most assured that I am in fact no more a prophet than thou. And so, as thy prophet, I bid thee rise up and seek the new path for which thou yearnest so. Is it not God themselves who put that yearning within thee? And if thou goest, and all is not well, mayest not thou choose yet another way? And if thou stayest and go not, shall thou ever know what could have been?" And reasoned the prophet in such a wise until his Self was worn down with the prophesying and the towels were sore in need of folding and putting away.
And yet he hesitated, stretching not out his hand...
